The Center for Human Factors in Advanced Aeronautics Technologies (CHAAT) at California State University Long Beach (CSULB), is researching the impacts of future automated tools and new aerospace operating concepts on human operators in the National Airspace System (NAS).

Urban Air Mobility (UAM)
CHAAT is collaborating with Drs. Panadda Marayong and Praveen Shankar in the BeachCAVE Virtual Reality Lab, and Mr. Vern Battiste, San Jose State University and NASA Ames Research Center on a reconfigurable testbed for providing realistic tests of UAM operations in urban environments.
