Accessibility Training

This is an example of an EPUB evaluation spreadsheet. eTextbooks are evaluated and given a score based on these accessibility standards.

All CUDA employees begin with accessibility evaluation training, which consists of  evaluating eTextbooks from Cool4Ed for 508 compliance. The eTextbooks are provided in the following formats:

• HTML
• PDF
• EPUB

All eTextbooks are evaluated with assistive technologies (AT) and non-assistive technologies (NAT), regardless of the format.

Incoming employees are trained on how to complete accessibility evaluations for each format. During training, employees must complete two evaluations using both AT and NAT for each textbook format.
