Checkpoint 1: Accessibility Documentation

Transcript

The first checkpoint is Accessibility Documentation. For the textbooks’ organizations, you need to find the following URLs: URL to formal Accessibility Policy, URL to accessibility statements, and URL to Accessibility Evaluation Report. Back on the Cool4Ed website, view the information about the resources for the course. Under the “Accessibility evaluation”, there should be URLs to Formal Accessibility, Accessibility Statements, and Accessibility Evaluation.

In the additional information column of your Excel evaluation document, you will explain if the URL was found on the Cool4Ed website. A score of 10 out of 10 will be given if the URL was found or a 1 out of 10 if the URL was not found. The detail column will include the exact additional information sentences. Also include if the checkpoint passes and would explain how the URL was found “there was a URL address found for the formal accessibility policy/accessibility statement/accessibility evaluation report. Google Chrome was used to access and evaluate this text.” A fail would be “There was no URL address found for the formal accessibility policy/accessibility statement/accessibility evaluation report. Google Chrome was used to access and evaluate this text”. You will follow this format for the first checkpoint’s A, B, and C.
