Completing the Assessment Cycle

It is important to think through how the assessment cycle is completed and how data are analyzed, reported, and shared. Assessment data can collect dust and lose value quickly if a clear plan of action isn’t in place to complete the full assessment cycle and ensure benefits for all stakeholders in the process. Results from the assessment can lead to continuous improvement by making concrete adjustments or changes to existing programs, identifying gaps or needs, eliminating unnecessary elements, and generally thinking about broader and more substantive changes that will benefit student learning and development. Be sure to celebrate your successes as well!
