The Elie Wiesel Foundation Prize in Ethics Essay Contest

Dear CHLS students and faculty.  I think this would be a great opportunity for creativity, practice and cooperation between faculty and students.  Students should consider entering this contest, the prize is substantial, the writing practice would be great and it would sure look good on a grad school application, not to mention a  resume.  I’m attaching the flyer here, but please note that the deadline is Dec 14, 2015 @ 5:00 p.m., so save the date and start coming up with a topic.  Several professors, including Julie Rivera, Griselda Suarez and Luis Arroyo are willing to work with you, but you are welcome to approach any of our CHLS profs.  They are looking out for your success 24/27, so take advantage of it.

1st prize is $5000

2nd prize is $2,500

3rd prize is $1,500

2 honorable mentions at $500 each
