Internship Partners

The Economics Department has established relationships with several local institutions to provide regular internship opportunities.  Graduate students can get course credit for paid or unpaid internships with approval from the graduate advisor and internship coordinator, Dr. Steimetz (seiji.steimetz@csulb.edu). Current students that are interested in applying for any of these internships should contact the internship coordinator.

Free Conference Call Internship

Free Conference Call is based in Long Beach and provides collaborative communications solutions that serve a range of businesses, individuals, communities and organizations around the world.   Free Conference Call is offering a three month paid internship to qualified students to assist in data management and statistical analysis.

Golden West College Teaching Internship

Golden West College based in Huntington Beach and is a two-year, medium sized, college serving just over 10,000 students on a 122-acre campus.  The Department of Economics at Golden West College is offering an opportunity for students to be mentored in pedagogy.  This internship is for course credit only and is a great opportunity for students who are interested in gaining teaching experience.

Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC)

LAEDC is based in Los Angeles and is a private, non-profit organization that provides L.A. County with free business assistance and attraction programs, economic research and analysis, real estate advisory services, trade and investment assistance, and public policy leadership.  LAEDC offers regular unpaid internship opportunities to CSULB students to assist in economics research and data management.
