CSULB – Geography

The first and last portions of the program will take place at California State University Long Beach and the Department of Geography.  Students will stay in dorms on campus and will meet daily for lectures, labs and assignments.  The first segment of the class will introduce students to geospatial research and techniques and will provide training on software and hardware to be used in the field.  We will make use of the Department of Geography computer laboratory and the instrumentation collaboratively owned by Drs. Lee, Wechsler and Lipo.  The last portion of the project will focus on the analysis of data generated in the field.  The last day will be devoted to a poster session in which students will present independent and group projects conducted over the course of the program.
