School to Career

Did you know that a recent survey of more than 1000 employers revealed over 55% wanted students to have pursued a “broad-based education that helps them choose their best career paths” rather than a more narrowly-defined technical course of study?

Did you know that the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the number of jobs requiring at least a B.A. degree, regardless of major, will grow faster than the national average between 2010-2020?  And in some cases, the growth rate is expected to nearly double for those holding a Master’s Degree?

Did you know that a teacher shortage is looming in the near future, even in California, according to the state Department of Education, as student enrollments continue to grow while teacher supply has been dropping?

There are ways to avoid “Major Anxiety” – Use the General Education requirements and the History B.A. major to empower you to reach your goals!
