2018 CSULB Bateman Team – With Purpose

2018 Bateman Team

In 2018, Bateman teams were challenged to develop a PR campaign for With Purpose, a national youth-lead charity dedicated to conquering childhood cancer. PRSSA-LB’s team successfully rallied the Long Beach community to donate, educate and participate in the fight against childhood cancer. During the 28-day campaign, the PRSSA-LB team raised more than $3,000 for With Purpose, educated nearly half a million people through social media, community events, campus activities and business partnerships, and facilitated the establishment of two local With Purpose chapters. Their efforts earned them a spot in the Bateman finals where they presented their campaign to With Purpose representatives and public relations professionals in Charleston, South Carolina.
