Dr. Whitney Mandel

Dr. Whitney Mandel taught at CSULB in the Department of Journalism from 1998 to 2003 where she served as Broadcast Option Head.  Her main teaching areas were Media Ethics, Broadcast News Writing and Reporting and Television Production and Performance.  She previously taught at San Diego State University, The University of Nevada, Las Vegas  and The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Professor Mandel was a Faculty Fellow at The National Association of Broadcasters in Washington, D.C., and The Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a radio/television commentator in Knoxville, Tn., and San Diego, CA.  Dr. Mandel received her Ph.D. from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
