Film Screening and Q & A with Investigative Journalist Greg Palast

Along with uncovering a massive voter role purge in Florida in 2000 that prevented tens of thousands of African- Americans from voting, Palast’s current work details how “anti- voter-fraud” programs are poised to deny hundreds of thousands of young, Black, Latino and Asian-American voters the right to vote in the upcoming presidential election. Palast’s new film, “The Best Democracy Money Can Buy,” documents these efforts, as well as the intertwinement of billionaire donors and our elected officials and candidates. Called “funnier than Michael Moore, more substantial than Naomi Klein” (The Guardian), Palast’s film is engaging, provocative, and timely.
