MUN Harvard Award 2007

Cal State Long Beach students win distinction at Harvard Conference

Sunday, February 18, 2007, Boston:

The 12-member CSU Long Beach Model United Nations team may have suffered frostbite walking across the Boston Common in 16-degree weather when they arrived, but winning an award at the Harvard National Model United Nations conference certainly warmed their trip back to sunny California. CSULB Model UN delegation member Ms. Guergana Angleova (email: gergana1@hotmail.com) representing Vietnam at the Harvard MUN’s Economic and Financial Committee was awarded an Honorable Mention distinction for her expert lobbying of resolutions through the committee. “It is certainly a distinction to have received an award from among over 2,500 delegates from the top U.S. and world universities,” MUN Faculty Advisor Larry Martinez commented. “But it is above all a team effort and the award certainly confirms that all the members of the CSULB did an outstanding job representing Viet Nam at the conference.”
