Did you know there are 46.5 million people living in poverty right here in the United States?  Did you know that 16.1 million of these are children?  

We help people living in poverty gain new dignity, courage and hope.  When you donate used shoes to Soles4Souls, you are helping finance our distributions of new shoes to people in your own community.

The discussion led by Dr. Caitlin Fouratt (International Studies) and Dr. Kris Zentgraf (Sociology)will consider Federal and California laws, as well as how to access campus resources.

The Psychology Department Colloquium Series presents

Dr. Campbell Leaper
UC Santa Cruz

Dr. Leaper will review his research program on the manifestations and consequences of sexism during childhood, adolescence and emerging adulthood.  His research group has investigated how sexist and non-sexist ideologies (such as feminist identity, traditional masculinity ideology and benevolent sexism) and experiences with gender discrimination (sexual harassment and gender bias) are related to relationship qualities, academic motivation and future aspirations in youth.
