M.A. in Italian Studies

In Fall 2014, the Master of Arts in Italian Studies made its long awaited debut at California State University, Long Beach, home to the George L. Graziadio Center for Italian Studies. Prospective students will benefit from the Graziadio Center’s commitment to creating a rich academic environment, one in which there is always an ongoing dialogue between students, faculty and community members, not to mention an engaging schedule of speakers and conferences. A combination of high standards, individualized attention and a wide range of course offerings makes the M.A. in Italian Studies at Cal State Long Beach an excellent choice for any profession with international reach and global interaction, particularly in the field of the arts, fashion, design, and advertising. Future Ph.D. candidates in literature and cultural studies, teachers, translators and museum specialists will all benefit from this degree. With the M.A. representing the latest installment in a growing Italian Studies program that already offers the Minor, Major and Single Subject Credential in Italian, we encourage you to explore the various links to your right and hope that you consider Cal State Long Beach as you make plans to further your knowledge of Italian language and culture.
