Christina Lopez

Student Teacher of the Year, 2019-2020

Cristina has shown herself to be a positive, prepared and passionate student from Day 1 of this program, and as a student teacher, she continued to shine. Her master teachers and supervisor wrote glowing reports of her successes in student teaching. At McBride High School in Long Beach Cristina prepared organized, creative lessons that helped all of her students succeed. Her supervisor commented that she is the definition of the professional teacher and she created a caring, safe classroom environment so that all of her students would succeed in Spanish. She is a student with whom we have all enjoyed working. We are very proud of Cristina and look forward to hearing about many future successes in the classroom.

Outstanding Supervisor 2019-2020

Tina is what we hope for in all of our supervisors. She coaches her student teachers to be the best teacher possible. She supports them with ideas and experience that come from over thirty years of successful classroom experience. Tina fulfills all of her supervising duties with passion and precision; the feedback she gives her students is always detailed and positive; it has become the model for all of my supervisors. I appreciate all of the work she has done for our students and I know that they have all appreciated all of her hard work and support.
