Alumni publish research with Dr. Esa Syeed

Along with four sociology alumni (Mahindra Kumar, Nikki Lowe, Dominic Moran, and Karmina Rucobo), Dr. Syeed recently published “Getting Uncomfortable with Difficult Knowledge: A Reflexive Account of a Community-Based Research Project” in Collaborations: A Journal of Community-based Research and Practice. Based on findings from a community-based research project we conducted back in 2018, the piece is a reflexive account of student experiences with “difficult” or unsettling knowledge they were exposed to in their sociology classes.
