Dr. Kim Potowski Presents: Language and Social Justice in Northern Italy

Screen Shot 2013-11-19 at 11.28.13 AMDr. Kim Potowski, Associate Professor and Director of the Spanish Heritage Language Program at the University of Illiniois, Chicago, will be presenting Language and Social Justice in Northern Italy: The Education of Spanish-Speaking Immigrants on December 6.

This lecture is the first in a series of lectures that will be hosted by The College of Liberal Arts Intersections Initiative and the Departments of Anthropology; Linguistics; and Romance, German, Russian Languages & Literatures. These lectures will explore the intersections of language teaching, learning, and writing with the study of political movements and minority/disadvantaged groups.
