Vanessa Paloma is a Senior Fulbright Research Scholar and Artist to Morocco. She specializes in music from the Sephardic Diaspora, particularly music in Ladino, a Judeo-Spanish dialect. Her recent work focuses on Morocco’s Jewish women’s music and oral traditions. In addition to participating in numerous academic conferences, she founded and co-directs Flor de Serena, a Judeo-Spanish ensemble.
