Delaney Callahan, Marcus Nappo, Indie Chavez, and Eric Yanigihara along with alums Kyle Hamada and Caleb Wood spent part of their summer collecting the data needed for the legal boundary description of the newly designated White Mountains Wilderness Area in Inyo County. Trained by the Bureau of Land Management, they went to the field driving and hiking the boundary, taking way points, and making note of boundary and management issues. They will complete the work this semester and their data will go the cadastral and legal teams of the BLM in the Sacramento office, and then off to Congress for official approval.
