Sunday afternoon—Welcome to the Institute
All participants will get checked into their dorms by the afternoon. Designated CSULB housing staff will be present to greet summer scholars and provide them with bedding and linens. A welcome dinner will take place off-‐campus hangars. Dinner will offer participants the opportunity to meet their fellow summer scholars and the workshop leadership in a relaxed, festive environment. After dinner, Neumann will introduce the agenda and expectations for the week, discuss logistics, and answer questions participants may have. After dinner, a bus will return summer scholars to their dorm rooms.
