Research Interests

Bonnie Gasior’s research focuses on early modern Spain and colonial Latin America. She is particularly interested in gender studies, travel narratives, and Mikhail Bakhtin’s theories of carnival and dialogue. Currently she is revising a manuscript titled Stage Fright?: Female Monstrosity in the Spanish Comedia.
